By the end of this course, photographers will be able to transform a collection of strong photographs into a cohesive visual narrative suitable for magazines, newspapers, online publications, galleries, and documentary projects.
Most motorsports photographers learn how to photograph race cars. This workshop teaches you how to photograph motorsports. Over ten sessions, photographers will learn to create compelling images that communicate speed, emotion, atmosphere, competition, and the human stories behind racing.
This session the goal will be to create images to make the viewer feel what it was like to be there. You will master how to anticipate the action, read tracks like a seasoned pro, and tell gripping visual stories. Are you ready to stop chasing moments and start capturing speed?
this session will focus on on how shutter speed changes the way viewers experience an image. By the end of this session, you'll know exactly when to freeze motion and when to embrace blur.
this session will focus on the art and physical technique of panning in motorsports photography. Move from thinking about camera settings to mastering body mechanics, focus tracking, and a systematic shutter speed progression.
this session will focus on what to do when you to leave the racetrack. No apexes. No panning. No braking zones. No race cars flying through corners. And yet, today's session may be the most important one in this entire workshop. Because the greatest motorsports stories rarely happen at 180 miles per hour.
this session will focus on the light, color and atmosphere to learn how to see it, predict it, and use it to create images that feel cinematic, emotional, and memorable.
this session will focus on creating valuable motorsports photographs. Because there is a difference. A photograph can be beautiful. A photograph can be artistic. A photograph can win awards. But if it doesn't solve a client's problem, it may have very little commercial value.
this session will focus on photographing At night, that is entering what many photographers consider the most magical environment in motorsports. When the sun goes down, everything changes. The track changes. The atmosphere changes. Learn to navigate the dark & manage your gear
this session will go past the cars and going to focus on people. Because race cars don't have personalities. People do. Manufacturers spend millions designing cars. But fans connect with drivers.
this session will focus on how professionals approach editing. Not as a collection of tricks. But as a system. The goal is consistency. Because clients don't hire photographers for one great image. They hire photographers who consistently produce a recognizable body of work.
This is the final session of our workshop. Over the last nine sessions we've learned how to photograph speed, motion, people, atmosphere, light, endurance, and storytelling. But today we're going to learn how all of those elements work together. Because professional motorsports photography is not about creating one great image. It's about creating a complete story.
